Hello,

After being laid off from Amazon at the end of May 2025, I took it as a sign to slow down and give myself space to reset. Instead of rushing into the next thing, I decided to focus on what truly grounds me—reconnecting with my Mexican roots, spending time with family, and rediscovering life through travel and language.

 

Since May, I’ve been splitting my time between Monterrey, Nuevo León, MX and my hometown of New Braunfels, Texas exploring different parts of Mexico along the way. From the history and warmth of Mérida, Yucatán to the creative pulse of Mexico City, each place has reminded me how much culture and community shape who I am.

 

Before this chapter, I spent over a decade building a career that blended creativity, leadership, and operations. From managing visual merchandising strategies for global brands to leading large teams at Amazon, I’ve learned how to bring structure and purpose to fast-moving environments while keeping people at the heart of every decision. Those experiences taught me how to balance efficiency with empathy—and that success comes from connection, not just process.

 

During this time away from corporate life, I also earned my 120-hour TEFL certification, something I’ve wanted to do for years. Teaching English to others feels like a meaningful way to give back and help people expand their opportunities—especially in communities that have given me so much.

 

When I’m not traveling or discovering new running trails, I’m usually sketching design ideas, playing tennis, or taking long walks with my dog, Wednesday (who definitely lives up to her Addams Family name).

 

These past few months have been about rediscovery—finding balance, embracing change, and remembering what inspires me most: people, stories, and the beauty of shared experiences.
