Career Background
About JOSAVAD
After being laid off from Amazon in May 2025, I chose to pause with purpose.

I spent the following months reconnecting with my Mexican roots and traveling throughout Mexico, immersing myself in its culture and language. During this time, I also led the renovation of my family’s home, applying the same skills I built in my career, managing timelines and budgets, coordinating contractors and vendors, making visual and layout decisions, and staying close to quality and execution from start to finish. In parallel, I created APPEELING AGENCY, a personal project helping local businesses elevate their customer experience through visual merchandising, team enablement, and refined brand assets. Together, these projects reset my perspective and sharpened what matters most in my work: building with intention.
Before this chapter, I spent over a decade leading at the intersection of creativity, operations, and people. From visual merchandising roles to managing large teams at Amazon, I helped build programs that scaled while balancing efficiency with empathy. I believe strong results come from clarity, trust, and connection.
Outside of work, you will usually find me sketching, playing tennis, or walking my dog, Wednesday.
